Deus Ex Machina

What better way to top off a rad day but a visit to my favourite shop, Deus Ex Machina. The real joy, today, was to be found outside. Carrera, hillclimber and SR. Special. Check the mirror on the SR.

Peugeot Mixte

So I'm doing the rounds at the Fox Studios Grower's Markets on a hot Spring Saturday and at the cheese stall I spy a classic Peugeot Mixte. I look around for Lynn but he's nowhere to be seen, but Belinda is! I compliment her on her fine choice of vehicular movement and she informs me that the mixte is actually from Lynn's stable. 10-4! I wish this shot was a bit more posed (ie: Belinda in terse discussion with stallholder about price of cheeses leaning over aforementioned bicycle) but I was rushing off my head on a Toby's Estate double shot latte and had to make do with what I could manage. Check out Chainring Transit Authority!

Old Raleigh

Rocked up to Fox Studios this morning and who should the Lady Cop get parked next to but this great old Raleigh, authentic Nottingham style. Dig the forks and the Sturmey Archer and the cracked leather saddle bag. Awesome!

Rainbow over Coogee (between replacing electricity poles)

This pole has been in the ground for a few weeks now. Don't know what council is waiting for. I guess it's a pretty involved business, swapping over poles. But it provides a nice contrast for a rainbow snapshot.

Camperdown Park, Newtown

The graffiti on the wall of St. Stephens in Newtown never ceases to impress me. Nice stencil work.

Cannonball Run 2009

Well, it's all happening. See how much pasta and steak I can pack in between now and January.

Shimano-Yumeya

Wow. Don't usually do ShimaNO but this is a beautiful example of the Japanese attitude towards accessorizing, customizing and modifying. White and gold aftermarket parts to add a bit of sparkle to your XTR kit. Subtle yet strong. More here. Thanks BicycleDesign!

Shakira

God I love Shakira.

Twenty-three oh nine oh eight < Courtesy of Aquabumps!

Y'all should really sign up for the free daily email from Aquabumps, what a job, this guy Uge gets to photograph the dawn every day from Bondi, and ends up with snaps like this. Like he sez in todays email, 'Each morning is very unique down at Bondi.' It's unique wherever you are, but the opportunity to capture it is rare. This might look drab but I love this sort of imagery, big landscape style. Uncluttered horizon...

Highsnobiety Re-brand

One of my favourite early morning reads, HighSnobiety, got one of my fave designers, Benny Gold to re-brand the identity. Another gem from the man who brought you MASH and HUF.

BMW R HellBike

OH SHIT! BORN LOSER MC!

CONDOR Motorcycles

Over at Vintagent. Sweet!

Eds Bikes 'La Suprema'

Found this via Trackosaurus and am very excited about the copper finish on the La Suprema and the matching Brooks saddle and tape but completely disappointed by the use of white in the wheelset (especially the disc) and the carbon crankset. Fair enough it is a modern frame but both just detract from that amazing frame. One piece bar and stem setup. Awesome! Thanks Edsbikes! This is more like it! SICK!!!!!!!!!!!

Mini Crossover Concept

This looks cool. If I was into cars. I'd have to go for the stealth matte black version with well placed red details and gloss black rims. MORE HERE!!!

Marian Bantjes is my favourite typographer and was featured in the August 2008 Creative Review Monograph mag. She is incredible. SEE MORE HERE!!!

'Ashton' for Sarah Hadfield

For a true artist, Sarah Hadfield, who combines the eloquence of an angel with the guitar skills of a demon. Listen here...

Katrien with Zagato Guzzi

Ever since seeing this poster over at Moto Ciclo I have been in love with Katrien and has done nothing but fuel my desire for a Guzzi.
