"2008: portrait of a postcode" is a photographic series documenting the current state of the Chippendale street face before it disappears. The show will exhibit a series of limited edition photographic prints and will launch Lucia Fischer’s self published artist book "2008: portrait of a postcode" which documents the current threat of overdevelopment in the small Sydney suburb of Chippendale.

Buzzed down to Melbourne on the weekend and fell in love all over again. Here is the Citylights laneway, covered in graffiti and lightboxes featuring work by local artist Ash Nolan, sitting on top of a piece by Adnate.
Melbourne is truly Australia's only international city, the city actually feels like it's alive. Bikes everywhere, people riding them, girls in skirts and heels riding steel ladies bikes. Quality fixies and track bikes, bmxers, roadies, crappy old ten speeds, townies. The bicycle culture in Melbourne is going thru the roof. It is such a practical place for bikes, except for the train tracks.
And all the laneways, sidestreets and alleys that create this incredible intrigue, filled with cafes and upstairs bars with french windows that look down into the alley. Gorgeous girls and svelte males wandering around. This one is called Hells Kitchen in Centre Place.
