All time favourite hip-hop album ('cos I'm a skinny white boy) has been remastered and re-released with bonus tracks and out-takes and rarities and t-shirts and on vinyl or plastic or downloads and everything! Check it out here!
Dan (my mate from NY) and I dropped my Hell On Wheels on Saturday and I tried shooting off some snaps of the vintage Malvern Star path racer they have in there, built up by Nigel Houston Begg, kinda one of the original founders of Deus. Nigel goes around doing crazy stuff on bicycles and has recently started getting into sticking engines into them. Sort of how the whole motorcycle thing came about. So here's a Houston Original, shot through the glass of Hell On Wheels. Underneath all of that is a POS piece on DMOTE, Creative Director of RVCA and ex-flatmate and inspirational graphic design and typographic guru.
This is the FIRST and ONLY scooter I will post on this blog, unless someone can come up with a better custom paint scheme than Obelix beating up an adversary... Spotted at King Street Motors!
The great thing about a morning at Deus is every few minutes a new bike rolls up, motorised or not, breakfast or lunch, just to check it out, and this morning it was this incredible Triumph street tracker, built up by the owner, paint by the owner and ridden by the owner. SuperRoo supercharger, carbs from a Jag, etc... Awesome!
Piero's pretty happy with his new cabinet at Deus, here's an Original in Pistachio Gelato green with Brooks aged saddle, Charge leather grip and Record crankset. The cabinet is Egyptian. Price tag for the complete is AUS$4,725.
Typical Dare, his new Triumph cafe racer is so Deus it's almost Mambo. Bright colours, classic background. Handpainted badge by Carby Tuckwell, creative director of Deus.
Over at Deus yesterday with, a mate over from NY, discovered Dare scored himself a bargain at the Webbs auction, this HD Board Track racer. Pretty sweet.
Yeah bullshit. I'll believe it when I actually start seeing bikes riding into town via King Street rather than the Bridge. Here's to optimism... Cheers!
