Belstaff Trialmaster

There is nothing that gets my nostrils going more than the smell of waxed cotton. Apart from, say, plenty of things. But waxed cotton is one of them. I developed a healthy Belstaff addiction a while back, and subsequently built up an extensive collection. I'm keeping the Trialmaster jacket (for the moment, depending on the results of these auctions) but I'm moving on my beloved Trialmaster trousers and a spare belt for a Trialmaster jacket. Check out the auction on eBay for the trousers here and the belt here. Belstaff gear continues to go through the roof so here's a chance to pick oneself up a bargain. If you're REALLY keen for a sweet Trialmaster jacket to complete the collection let me know.

Daylight licked me into shape, I must have been asleep for days

I love bicycles and I am fascinated by both traditional and modern functional fashion. From Belstaff and Barbour to Nike ACG and North Face. So that's why I love a good Tweed Run. It brings together all the essential ingredients for a good looking afternoon on the bike. Someone who is championing the cause is UK designer Timothy Foxx, with his cycling specific tweed range. Ideal outfits and designs for ladies who ride. Not only is the 2nd Sydney Tweed Ride coming up but winter is also, and there's nothing like real wool tweed for keeping out the chill when you're out on the road! See the whole range on Timothy Foxx's website. Thanks for the tip, Riding Pretty!

Play it on the radio, let the vibes flow through you

Sable & Argent is a fine scooter and bicycle providore on Bourke Street in Woolloommoolloo, and they are now Australia's only stockist of Rapha's fine cycle wear. They had a little do tonight to launch the inclusion of the range in their store, and it was a lot of fun. Sydney is at its finest at this time of the year, balmy weather, silly season, everybody happy.
I got to try on my favourite Rapha piece, the Belstaff imitation Gentleman's Cap, which I have only been able to eye off online up till now. It fitted excellently, just like I knew it would.
It was great to see the sydbma crew representin', including a few old faces. It was also great to see a banjo making an appearance. Will French was there, rolling past the Tour de France route that exists inside his mind, scrawling it upon a long canvas that is hooked up to a set of rollers...
Everyone that has been hankering after Rapha in Australia now has an outlet for their passion! Get down to Sable & Argent and find out why Rapha is some of the world's finest cycling accessories and clothing. Someone please buy the silk scarf before I am forced to!

No reason to get excited

The devil, they say, is in the details. And by the looks of things, Rapha has a cosy collection of little evil people sitting around in their lounge. Check out the new Gentleman's Cap, sartorialising iconic fashion houses. Belstaff, for example. It's no secret that the whiff of waxed cotton sends the adventure hairs on my neck standing up, so now this cap is the 'must-have' of this morning. I'm loving the ventilation rivets (just like a Trialmaster), the 'Raph-ised' label, the corduroy brim (just like a Trialmaster) and the enamel pin (just like a Trialmaster). Right-ho, I'm off to Rapha. Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
