Had a 'moment' on the moto tonight, with my girl on the back, on the way home from fish and chips watching the sun go down over the city from Watsons Bay.
Following a car through a set of lights that turned orange and a car coming the other way turning in our direction didn't see us. Jammed on the brakes, nearly laid it down, got out of the way of the car, nearly flipped it coming back up, fishtailed throug the rest of the intersection...
Girly was very good, held on tight all the way through. No use hypothesising about what could've been because it was never going to happen. Driver was very cool too, even pulled over and came running over to see if we were ok. "Usually watches out for that sort of thing, he has mates that ride too."
Stay upright y'all.
More my fault than anyones, should've swerved right before the intersection to let the driver know I was there. Just thankful to all the gods and goddesses for protection and for making this Valentine's Day one to remember.
