The Contessa
Damn. Found this old snap of The Contessa, my Conti 'Astore' frame, in her single speed guise. You can't see in this pic, but the frame tubes have a 'barley twist' pressing, similar in style to classic Colnago and Vitus steel frames of the '80s. I turned her into a 1x1 when the Campy gear required a bit of replacing, but I want to do a proper resto, redo the paint etc. She's completely chrome under the red, but with little details like the green spray in the bottom of the CONTI on the down tube, and the brazed on Italian flag on the top tube. More here in the classic guise, complete with Croce D'Aune calipers and levers... Sigh. One day. Hang in there, baby.
