Cycle EXIF
You may have noticed posts have been a bit sparse around here for the last couple of weeks. That's because I've been flat chat setting up a new blog called Cycle EXIF, which went live this week. Cycle EXIF is the pedal powered version of Bike EXIF, which is one of the most incredible collections of inspired motorcycles. The aim of Cycle EXIF is to profile the best of custom, classic bikes and design icons, captured by great photography. You'll see bikes of all genre, from fixed gear freestyle bikes to vintage roadies, to downhill bikes, BMX, MTB, cyclocross bikes and even the odd conversion. There'll be a different bike six days a week. Needless to say, if you've got a bike that you think would be a suitable contribution, and have some great photos of it, feel free to get in contact. Head on over and have a look, we're on Facebook too. If you like bicycles, you'll love Cycle EXIF.

Specialized Fatboy by Chris Piascik
I've been admiring Chris Piascik's drawings of his previous bikes on Prolly's page. His latest, of a Specialized Fatboy Hemi, is definitely my favourite yet. I've owned two Fatboy 24" cruisers, the oval tubular style one like Chris's, and the next year's model, a monocoque frame. God I loved those bikes.

So it's hard to find someone with that kind of intensity
All right! The 5th Deus Bicycle Swap Meet is on! Just booked my stall, will be moving on a stash of old Campy bits 'n' bobs, couple of old frames. Give Piero a call to book a stall or drop in for some haggling! Going to be another great day, the Deus Swap Meets always are, can't wait! See you there... Saturday July 24th!

You see, he feels like Ivan, born under the Brixton sun
How we roll in The Shire: The boys had to scope long and hard for any decent waves yesterday, the surf was flat as a tack. Cronulla Historical Archives, muddy streets...

We bump and pump meters, we drunk you chumps need us
Currently downloading my copy of Gutter Bunny, a great e-zine by Nikola in London. Damn good read, and a refreshing departure from the eco-friendly, recycled stock and ad heavy journals that are currently filling the blogosphere. Nice one Nik, looking forward to the next issue already. Check out the Gutter Bunny blog to download your copy! Her other blog's quite interesting as well.

Funky boss, get off my back
Wow! What a beast! This is almost everything I love about 26". Short, fat and solid. It's funny, when I was riding as a courier in Sydney back in the day, it wasn't about who was riding fixed, it was about who had the hottest MTB set up to ride street, and now the fixed scene is coming around to that same aesthetic. This is the Nemesis/Gnarcotix Trackfighter build, and it looks the bollocks. So does his 20" ride, below. Seen on Benjamin Taylor's Tumblr and PC!

My car is parked outside, I'm afraid it doesn't work
Finally got around to building up my mate Match's 24" Redline cruiser for Suze yesterday, and Guy, Suze and I took the three bikes for a roll around the Cronulla heads. The cruiser just looked so phat with new Odyssey tyres, purple Animal grips (purple chain coming next, must be perfectly colour co-ordinated!), red Twisted pedals and OG Shimano DX lever and caliper! Rad. Such a sweet setup, now very inspired to score another 24" for myself... Here's the three single speeds together, what a trio!

Kissin in the back row, that’s how we missed the movie
The boys at Maroubra Cyclery posted a link to a great resource: an ever-growing scanned collection of old-school BMX mags from the 80s. Quite an education in retro graphics! Thanks lads!

I just go out walking with my favourite piece of wood, with a 4 inch nail driven through it
If you're in Long Beach Cali around June 12 you should head along and check out the Born Free Vintage Chopper and Classic Cycle Show. You could win yourself a rad Panhead. It's a sight for sore eyes, and it will be guaranteed to be a great day.

I hate parading my serenading, as I'll probably miss a bar
Up at sparrow's fart for a ride, dawn over the dunes, not altogether surprised to see a heap of surfers out, some nice peeling right handers... perfect for the long board. Hopefully Mattress won't mind us taking the Fuzz out for a roll!
