Every day I bless the day that you got through to me

Lady Melbourne was asked to try out some products by one of my favourite Melbourne online bike shops, Cycle Style. Here she is testing the Bronze Quilted Shopper panniers by Dutch company Fast Rider, and I'm not afraid to say that I'm contemplating acquiring a set for the Lady Cop... Get them here!

My car is parked outside, I'm afraid it doesn't work

Finally got around to building up my mate Match's 24" Redline cruiser for Suze yesterday, and Guy, Suze and I took the three bikes for a roll around the Cronulla heads. The cruiser just looked so phat with new Odyssey tyres, purple Animal grips (purple chain coming next, must be perfectly colour co-ordinated!), red Twisted pedals and OG Shimano DX lever and caliper! Rad. Such a sweet setup, now very inspired to score another 24" for myself... Here's the three single speeds together, what a trio!

I saw the photograph, he blew his mind out in a car

This is the 2010 Affinity Cyclone, apparently. Looks the utter bollocks, you should check out the rest of Prolly's review for the rest of the shots. But I'm posting these shots up as reference for the finish on that frame. Raw steel has always been a favourite finish of mine, it just looks so industrial, and provides a neutral backdrop which really sets off the other components of the bike. The Cyclone's got me thinking about a resto job on the Lady Cop, now...

Well if Friday's are for funerals, and Saturday's for brides

Think I've found my next pair of rims. SUNringle MTX33. Phat ass. Only 140 grams heavier than Deep Vs. Read the full review over on Prolly, looking forward to hearing how they hold up!

Le rouge, le bleu

Aw, cute! Found some old pics in the archives of The Contessa, resplendent with her Croce D'Aune Deltas and levers, and Lady Cop – fresh as!

There's so much left to know, and I'm on the road to find out

My little mate Alpha struttin' in front of our wheels. Don't know why he bothers with the helmet, that 'fro will bounce off any surface from any height! He's getting his skids down with that coaster brake of his. RAD!

License, registration, I ain't got none

Thanks to Joe and the lads at City Bike Depot and a last minute wheelbuild on a Friday night, I finally got the Lady Cop back on the road. Been riding the moto everywhere for the past few weeks but it, like me, hates being stuck in traffic. So good to be moving again. Built it up this morning and took her for a shakedown ride over to Newtown this arvo. Unreal. Like I got my mojo back. Riding a bike just feels like you're part of the rhythm of the streets, of the environment.

That there's the pothole that damn near killed me. Keep an eye out for it, if yer riding east along Cleveland past South Dowling. Keep an eye out for my axle, too. Snapped clean off and no sign of it no whar!

Pierce the skin and the blood runs through

Dropped into City Bike Depot at lunch today to check out some forks for the Lady Cop and spied a little red beauty peeping out amongst the rust and dust... Sweet-as Tommasini Tecno. Blood red, Same as the Contessa, which I CANNOT wait to get back on the road either. And speaking of nice sets of lugs, found this celeste one searching for the Tomato. Just for G-Love!

Forever young

Multiple post but just got home from work and just had to check out these forks again. Man, I would've loved to have seen this slam from the footpath... Whiplash hurts, kids, but Tiger Balm is the all-remedy. WEAR YOUR HELMET. That could've been my skull.
