Super light weight mallet for a super chick! Built by Tarn of Primate Frames! More pics on Candy Cranks!

Walking side by side with death

Amazing paint resto on this Ciocc which has the same braze-on Italian flag as my Conti. Great work by Keith Anderson Cycles. Have a gander at his Flickr HERE! Via Milano Fixed...

Everybody spread the word, we're gonna have a celebration

Get over to Deus on the 12th of December for the Vintage Surf & Skate Swap Meet. It will be huge. I'm a huge fan of Carby's art and creative direction for Deus, but this poster is one of my all time faves. Click for big!

Fell the dark night, and no starlight to light the room

Three dimensional calligraphy, heat and steel. Even if you can't read Japanese, have a browse through the framebuilders website, incredible stuff. And if anyone can, I'd love to hear more about this builder! Tetz-One frame and fork. Check out the rest of the pics on "84's" Flickr stream, and the 84 BLOG!

Life shows no mercy

Via Bikes, bikes & bikes! LOVELY!

But if your mind's neglected, stumble you might fall

1982 Shimano catalogue. Via Sheldon Brown and Pony Bikes.

Pony Bikes Allegro Pista

My best mate Sasha, the woman behind Pony Bikes in Melbourne, celebrated her birthday today by completing one of her finest ever builds, an Allegro Pista Custom for Camilla. Sweet! Happy birthday Sash, hope this year is your most excellent yet!

I tried to look away but I can't resist, I can't believe that you exist

Browsing through the photo galleries of the Deus ex Machina shop in Auckland and WOW! What a great collection of vintage BMX they have on display! When I grow up I wanna visit there!

What's not to love? Simon Peplow! Via SFGFC and Tracko!

Maybe far away, or maybe real nearby

I heart Amsterdam.

Now who's cryin, desirin' to come back to me

Ultimate beauty and functionality: Brooklyn Machine Work's new Launchpad. Left hand drive! Read all about it on their BLOG!

The future's uncertain, and the end is always near

MORE AMAZING PAINT CREATIONS FROM death spray custom. Human hair, that's what. I don't hear any activists kicking up a stink like they did about Damien Hirst's scheme for Lance's ride, what gives??? Thanks BIKEexif for the linkage!

We saw shadows of the morning light, the shadows of the evening sun

Y'all do yourself a favour and get over to Fast Boy Cycles Flickr stream and check out his latest creation, the Double Squishy Dual drive train Dingle Speed Thunderfucker. The paint will blow your mind. Nice work Ezra!

The trophy that I made for us in fur and gold

Righto. Here's some snaps of the Onitsuka Tiger / Bicycle Film Festival collab I was fortunate enough to be part of. Finally managed to get down to Lucky & Wolf at The Rats Nest gallery in Darlinghurst, work has been hell this last week so I missed the opening which I was mildly bummed about.

Julia Schauenburg and James W Mataitis Bailey have done a magnificent job of curating the show, thanks guys! The sneaker collab was only part of a show called 'Frames', one of the events held in conjunction with the Sydney BFF.

Check out the wheel Plunkett built out of paper clips! Truly a master wheel builder!

Here's Julia's submission for the exhibition, check out her website, she's an amazing photographer:

Um, that's hers on the left! Taken in Berlin. Not sure who snapped the body builder at the El Alamein Fountain?

Check out the Flickr for my submission. Thanks Sydney!

But the knowledge is the power, the cowards get devoured

Got my grill on Sunday at the Three Point Turnz BBQ and Polo arvo for the Sydney Bicycle Film Festival. It was great to see so many people turn up for it, so many different bikes and everyone had a rad time. Thanks to all the people who put this on, for the BBQ, the cupcakes, the lucky dip and especially Yogi for doing such an Axellent job with the valet bike parking!

Whoops

I just lost it... THANKS TC!!!

Mashin' on the motorway

Here's Shifterbikes Dan. Shot by Andreas Jakworth. See more of the pics in this series of Melbourne fixed riders on fyxomatosis...

There's a feeling I get when I look to the west

You only need to hold a Keirin frame in your hands to appreciate the spirit and craftsmanship that goes into each frame. This Kalavinka is no exception, within it obviously resides a kami. However the guardian of this Kalavinka kami is ready to pass it on to another. Contact pounkk at gmail dot com for details. The specs are over at rocknrollinfixieriders.

Tables of paper wood, windows of light

Spotted over at Tracko-saurus this morning, a wonderful article and series of photographs on the LEVEL website. Lee Basford and Simon Peplow's cycling and camping trip, aptly titled 'Campags and Campfires'. There's nothing like being on the road, whether it's on a bicycle or a motorcycle. Can't wait for the holidays...
