Well I realize that I've been hypnotized, I love your gypsy eyes

Well hot dang, these Freeman Transport leather straps sure are purdy. I love the functionality and versatility of the Hold Fast straps, and it would be a criminal act to even wonder how these would look wrapped over some Odyssey Twisted flatties, but over some black DMR V12s? Now we're talking. Not that they can, but one day they will... Spotted over at Bike Jerks' flickr stream. And head over to the Freeman Transport online shop to purchase!

Duty, who's your master?

Kind of how I'm feeling right now, like I just want to get out on the open road. On auto-pilot at the moment, in a good groove, waiting for some inevitable holidays and wondering where the road is going to take me. Always an exciting time of the year, Change is hanging around like the mysterious girl in the corner at a house party. Just keep doing your thing, wait for the right moment.

Took a look around, see which way the wind blow

Friday's Brooklyn Gangsta comes to us courtesy of Mr John Prolly. Lookin' good with the Hold Fast straps. Love this shot. So raw. So Brooklyn!

It is the springtime of my loving

The Contessa in her 'White Album' phase... I'll put CONTI in here so if anyone's Googling Conti frames it'll come up...

Happy birthday Barbara Bach!

002 just finished watching 007 in The Spy Who Loved Me and developed a bit of a crush on Barbara Bach, Agent XXX. Turns out it's her birthday today, August 27th. Happy birthday Barbara!

Tangled up in blue

Don't know why, but I'm such a sucka for waxed cotton. Maybe it's the smell, maybe it's the functionality, but what really gets me going is seeing such a classic material being reinterpreted in a modern way. Needless to say, I'm all over the R.E.Load waxed cotton backpacks, even though they look too small for any serious cartage. More shots on the R.E.Load flickr stream.

One for the trouble, two for the time

Motoyan's photographic documentary of Tokyo and his work as a messenger and motorcyclist is as prolific as cherry blossoms, and the images he provides give me continual inspiration to get to Tokyo and experience all of the sights for for myself. Especially on a bicycle or motorcycle! I especially love bikes with skate stickers on them! Thank you Motoyan! NO FUTURE TOKYO!!!

You played the game, you owe nothing to yourself

Great shot of my new blogosphere pal Karin Christen from Switzerland, pro downhiller and general all-round bike lover! Although in this one you can't actually see a bike, it just looks like a high speed beast racing through the woods! Check out her website and flickr page for some beautiful DH photography.

With the birds I'll share this lonely view

I'm liking the lookup of the questionably-named Fixie Inc's range for 2010, including a well-presented polo mallet. Nicely designed website also, and a blog that's worth a good read. Loving the crest for each bike, enduing them with an individual personality.

Come party like a Nightshade

Hey, if I'm in Toronto this Thursday I'll be heading along to the Drake Hotel to party with The Deadly Nightshades, and checking out their Fall 2009 Collection. I won't be in Toronto, unfortunately. Damn.

You don't need eyes to see, you need vision

Jessica Hart. God, how I love a good diastema. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I reckon that's May Lane. Trend Land.

Got you crawling up a mountain, hanging round my neck

Very soon, she will be back in my arms. Oh yes.

I feel a hot wind on my shoulder

One for Jewelz: out for a ride on the Grey Ghost with BIKEexif this morning, down to Akuna Bay, Cottage Point and Pittwater. Perfect perfect weather to be out on anything two wheeled, and didn't they all come out to play! Two Colnagos, one Fondriest and a Condor. And a dozen oysters, thanks. Yum!

Oh my good Lord help us all

The prophecy has come true. Legend has it that in the latter days a tandem would come to rule them all. Well, Tarn from Primate Frames has created it and it has broken from the shell like Monkey's 'Irrepressum'! WOW! I'm sure the tales of Meg and Tarn's travels will be long and interesting, and I will hang by the Candy Crank's website longing for any updates on this amazing adventure. Check out Tarn's blog for the build. Good luck, God speed.

Lamour Supreme x MISHKA

Mishka's new lookbook is out, the range is called Born Under a Bad Sign and features a range of 12 tshirts based on the signs of the Zodiac. Had to do a bit of calling around to come across the Scorpio version, but here it is. Typical of Lamour Supreme's work, the shirt's pretty wild, I'll be hanging out for the drop. Have a look at some of the other shirts on the Mishka blog and thanks to Prolly for the point in the right direction!

Strip joints full of hunchbacks

For Jen.

Chase the dragon

Long live the Cab!

Took a sniff of toncho from his coke can

Oh Shanaze. Greatly looking forward to London 2012. Chicks and Bikes!

The Hochdorfers ROCK MY WORLD!

Thanks BIKEexif!!!

And you're ridin' through the city with a shotgun

I've really been hanging out to see some shots of this exhibition, Momentum exhibition in Boston. What a simple and fantastic concept. Check out Matt Moore's website here for more and Traitor Cycles for the rides. Another fantastic Open Bicycles production.

Every paper that you read says tomorrow's your lucky day

The Projectionist requested more snaps like these in the interest of fashion, so in that vein... My EHBPC polo shirt turned up today! Wicked! Keep an eye on the website because the lads and lasses at EHBPC will be turning out some more shirts and hoodies shortly. Thanks guys!

Or maybe you think my moustache is too much?

Said that I was sure the world was gonna change

Got about three messages from folks coming and going to lunch that there was a rad looking bike in the foyer downstairs. Said I should go check it out. The first two I was thinking it would've been one of the sydbma boys coming or going. But on the third I went downstairs and managed to hold up the owner walking out with this gorgeous white Rossin frame. Nick has created an immaculate ride, complete with white Rolls. I'll recommend white Ksubis however, only because blue and black ones will leave a stubborn understain on that Rolls which even Cold Power can't get out. Hey Nick, if you're out there, shoot me a message and we'll go out for a ride!

Dial up my number now, weaving it through the wire

Only 10 of these kits were made?!? Fair enough. Delicious! Check 'em out here! Thanks Southsea Fixed Gear Fight Club!

I'm turning down all the heavy psychology

Found amongst a range of very wacky advertising and creative images on Presidia Creative, via Design you Trust. Lucky they're wearing their Lazer Genesis helmets, I can assure you from personal experience they work. Try 'em!

It's so insane, you've got me tethered and chained

Long time readers of this blog will know that it used to be half motorcycles as well as bicycles ('till they all motored over to Diary of a Grey Ghost). So one mob that doesn't get a lot of mention here anymore is the Wrench Monkees, a custom motorcycle shop in Denmark. They have a very singular aesthetic, a grey monochromatic version of Deus Ex Machina's OTT, vivid colour spectrum. Check out some of the Wrench Monkees motorbikes and then you'll understand why I'm excited about their bicycle. To the uneducated eye it looks like an old shitter, and in some respects it is, but that's wherein the beauty lies. Give me this baby over a Cinelli MASH any day.
